I am a disorganized person and anything which will allow me to access files scattered all over my two hard drives is quite a timesaver. What makes a program like this very useful is that its search capabilities let me continue with my bad habits and still be able to get what I want when I need it. The program seems quite user friendly --a good thing for people I know who are not particularly computer savvy.

I have been used to using the standard Microsoft search feature. It is reliable and has never let me down but has one terminal drawback: Speed.
Let me explain … one of my main uses for the computer is MUSIC …. I will be creating many tracks and many corresponding files. I need to have memorable ‘personal' names for them since well organised numbers will in a few weeks contain no meaning for me. They are also kept all over the place in my system because I do not like to duplicate files and some of them will have already been given a home inside old projects in which they were originally used. They are typically idiosyncratic, obscure and inaccessible.
This is where MS Search facility, good as it is, cannot help me because they are not big, there are very many of them and they are scattered all over the place. What's more, my workflow depends on being able to audition the contents at a moment's notice. I would not be surprised if people working in non-musical areas may encounter this situation.
I read the VistaGlance web-page and it and on the basis of the claims I got the trial version.
I was not holding my breath because I knew that I did have challenging uses for search functions and was expecting at best a small improvement over what I had already. I was most surprised to find searches completed almost as soon as I had placed my ‘request'. Obviously there is some kind of listing of disc contents. But the speed of compiling the list was beyond anything I could have imagined. 380 gigs were annotated within 5 minutes.
Also there were no confusing features, no sets of choices and no categories in which content was organised, just a simple blank space in which to type all or part of a file name. This was followed a few seconds later by all files including that set of letters, their locations and choice to go to their containing folder.
And suddenly my searching problems are solved.
It is a well known ‘issue' about searching is that it is easier to search the world wide web than it is to search out own computers. Until now that has been borne out by my experience. But no longer. VistaGlance has sorted that and now I feel I can access things that are close to hand this program will be a constant helper.

VistaGlance gives one the power navigate through computer files with the speed of your mind and a double click. Two clicks of the {control} brings up a typing prompt at any anytime and in the middle of any other process. Only a few characters describing the file/files you or looking for and a carriage return gives all the appropriate files at the speed of a glance. There is now an opportunity to explore the files, open them, delete them and form other standard operations.

I am retired and spends a lot of my time by the computer just for the fun of it - it has become my greatest hobby! I surf on the internet, download lots of freeware and shareware and use my computer for all kinds of things like mailing, listening to and creating electronic music, making telephone calls and storing and editing photographs. I often end up having far too many things on my computer and as I'm not the most organised person on this planet, it is extremely difficult for me to remember what files, software etc I have in my computer and especially where I've placed it. With VistaGlance I can now easily find everything that I need without having to remember anything else than the filename or part of the filename. Even files I had almost forgotten that I had has turned up again with the help of VistaGlance! VistaGlance is very fast and easy to work with and has made my time in front of the computer even more funny than before! I can recommend everyone this fantastic program!

I have only used VistaGlance twice…..in separate Windows sessions!! And it is the fastest ever search programme. The same search with Windows Search took 38 seconds whilst VistaGlance was immediate. Indexing takes only a few seconds. Well done guys at Qwerty.

I dont find anything wrong in VistaGlance yet..I like the program cause is the smallest, fastest and easy to use search tool..I like the interface too..I tried another search tool
like Copernic Desktop Bar and Ava find..but I preferr VistaGlance..its the easy and handy tool I ever seen..I like the VistaGlance options like copie,cut,open,etc..If I have the choise
to add something more menu options..I would like to add it rename and move...and something more..when I pick the open option I would like to transferr me directly at the file or folder that I search..and dont do it manually..and of course..add more languages

I have been using the windows xp search facility, due to lack of alternatives, and have always been dissatisfied with the time it takes to find files. I have tried some other search alternatives - they were so inadequate that I have forgotten their names! However, VistaGlance is without a doubt the best search engine I have ever tried. Once it is set up, not only is the speed impressive, but the accuracy of the search is equally so! I would have no hesitation in recommending this product; in fact, I would go out of my way to do so.

I have used google for everything, I try every beta program they offer. However, with the browser opening every time I do a personal pc search with their pc search tool. I began to feel uncomfortable with security. I fully use a pc search tool because I write and I read all the time. I have recorded an extensive music collection on my hard drive. So much material on two separate drives to total 200 gigabites of data. I can usually find the vicinity but can spend hours looking for the right file or directory. VistaGlance has provided security and extra features that google ( surprisingly enough) have not thought of. Within a particular search, not only can I find
the file I need, but I can copy, paste, delete, and edit from the search box itself. Simple and wonderful. I have already told my computer geek friends that also dive into computers about this program just because of it's simplicity and security. It is not only worth the download to try it. You'll find it is the easiest way to find everything on your pc. And you won't want
to be without it.

I´m impressed by the power of the program, easy to use and the amount of uses it can be taken for anyone. How many hours of my time sometimes i wasted looking for a particular file in my pc, 360 GB of HD, you can imagine what difficult it can be!. But with VistaGlance you can get it in fractions of a second, even if you are using a system with several hard disks!!!, it´s like magic!. I´ve been proving some diferent programs from other companys, with a very similar performance, but the environment and behavior of VistaGlance is simply better
